Welcome to our campsite near the Maxange caves

Close to the caves of Maxange, your vacation at Les Berges de la Dordogne campsite will be punctuated by numerous visits to historic sites such as the Cloître de Cadouin, the Lascaux cave and the Château de Cazenac. Its excellent location between Sarlat and Bergerac offers you the opportunity to indulge in tourism as well as outdoor activities such as horse riding and hiking in the heart of Périgord Noir, France.

Our 4-star Dordogne campsite near the Grottes de Maxange is an excellent starting point for discovering the Dordogne, its history, traditions and culture. It gives you access to the Dordogne river, where you can cool off and enjoy swimming or fishing, for example. You can also opt for the paddling pool and swimming pools, one of which is heated!

Rejuvenate with awe-inspiring views, sunbathing and refreshing dips close to beautiful landscapes to explore while lounging on a deckchair by the pool bordered by the River Dordogne. This camping experience near the Gouffre de Proumeyssac is a holiday that combines tranquillity and thrills.

The site, discovered in 2000, has now been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label. It is open to the public from April to November. Visits are organized daily in July and August, from 9am to 7pm. Tours last around 40 minutes and cost €5.90 for children and €9.50 for adults.

A guide accompanies you and explains the formation of the galleries, the geology of the cave and the source of the concretions. Be sure to wear warm clothing, as the temperature inside the cave is around 13°C all year round.
